What's in a name?
it's not what it's called
It's what you get
There has always been confusion about financial services and which of these a client wants and will be the most beneficial to their financial situation.
Sometimes it’s called wealth management and others say financial planning or even investment management. It really doesn’t matter what it’s called; a person just needs to know what they are signing up for and to ensure that it is best for their financial situation.
Lowery Thomas provides advice about investing, financial planning, and how taxes affect both. As a subset of investments and financial plans there are more specific things that address retirement planning, estate planning, risk management, tax planning, and education funding to name a few.
We have found that our clients need a combination of these at varying times of each of their financial lives. For example, younger clients typically need advice regarding their 401k accounts and saving strategies for both short-term goals and long-term goals. Clients that are a bit further along need more complex advice as their net worth grows and there are more opportunities to assess and risks to consider. At peak earning years, we find that the groundwork earlier really starts to pay dividends as the compounding of returns and consistent investing over a couple of decades has provided a nice portfolio that will serve them well. Finally, we achieve the most important and popular goal of being able to retire and live off the smart decisions and discipline shown during the wealth accumulation portion of the financial cycle.
Our firm is equipped to expertly advise you through all of life’s stages and be there when your questions become more complex and in need of advisors that are capable of answering them and guiding you to best decisions.
